Gadar 2 Box Office Collection and Trade Reports

Gadar 2, a movie that people were eagerly waiting for, has become a big hit in India since it came out on August 11. It's the second part of a famous movie from 2001 called Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The new movie, directed by Anil Sharma and starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, has broken records and is now one of the highest-earning Hindi films ever, just behind another hit movie called Pathaan.

In its first week, it made a huge amount of money, about ₹284.63 crore. In the second week, it continued to do well and earned ₹134.47 crore more. Even in its third week, it made ₹63.35 crore. On its fifth Friday, it still made ₹90 lakh. So, in total, Gadar 2 has earned a massive ₹512.35 crore. To understand how big this is, Baahubali 2 (Hindi) made ₹510.99 crore in 2017, and Pathaan made ₹524.62 crore in the same year. Pathaan had stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, while Baahubali 2 had famous actors like Prabhas and Anushka Shetty.

Sunny Deol, one of the main actors in Gadar 2, was really happy with the movie's success. He said he was stressed before the movie came out, but after it did, he cried and laughed all night because he was so happy. It is now available on Filmy4wap to enjoy.

On its very first day in theaters, Gadar 2 made ₹40 crore. It's a great follow-up to the first Gadar movie, with Sunny Deol playing the same character, Tara Singh, and Ameesha Patel playing Sakeena.

As Gadar 2 continues to do well at the box office, it shows how Indian movies can still capture people's hearts and be a big part of their culture, even after many years.

Gadar 2 Movie Review

The movie has got great positive reviews from the audience and viewers have rated it 6.5 stars out of 10 on IMDb which is a decent number. The reason behind the low rating is that some fans are disappointed with the story and direction.

Sunny Deol has won the hearts with his action again but the story is based on his son in Gadar 2 and Utkarsh Sharma has played the role of his son whose acting is not up to the mark. From the trailer, everyone was in doubt if he would deliver his role perfectly or not.

But, in the film, where Sunny Deol is present, the film is too amazing to enjoy and his charm from the last part is still there. If you are a 90s movie fan, then you must have a look at this and enjoy Sunny Deol's new charm after 22 years.

Gadar 2 Budget, Trade Success Or Not

Gadar 2 is a sequel to the famous movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. It brings back the character Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, who is strong and intense. The director, Anil Sharma, tries to balance between the original movie's boldness and the changes in society and politics since 2001 when the first movie was released. The result is a movie that is more careful and doesn't promote extreme patriotism like the first one did.

The story is set during the Bangladesh War and tries to show that we should move past the hatred that caused the Partition. Instead of blaming a particular religion, the movie criticizes people who use religion for their political goals. However, this criticism is mainly aimed at people from across the border, and Indian characters like Ashraf Ali and Hamid Iqbal aren't given much attention.

One problem with Gadar 2 is that it lacks the emotional depth that made the original special. The first movie had a touching love story at its core, but the sequel's story about Tara trying to bring his son back from Pakistan feels forced and doesn't evoke strong emotions.

Despite this, Sunny Deol's performance as Tara Singh is a highlight. He plays the character with honesty and intensity, and the action scenes are powerful. However, the movie doesn't challenge his acting skills or provide moments of humor and depth like the original did. Iconic scenes from the first movie, like the hand pump scene and the 'zindabad' moments, lack the same impact in the sequel. The ending is disappointing due to weak writing.

Manish Wadhwa does well as the villain, but he doesn't match up to Amrish Puri's character from the first movie. Utkarsh Sharma gets enough screen time, but he is overshadowed by Sunny Deol. Ameesha Patel is convincing as the emotional wife and mother, but her character lacks depth, and Sakina feels one-dimensional.

The music, while good, can't capture the magic of the songs from the original movie. Chal Tere Ishq Main is a standout, but it doesn't reach the heights of Udja Kale Kanwa.

In conclusion, Gadar 2 tries to continue the legacy of the first movie but doesn't capture the same emotional impact. Sunny Deol's strong performance is a highlight, but the contrived plot and execution make it less engaging than the original.
